Pulau Kukup Johor National Park

Pulau Kukup is one of the largest uninhabited mangroves in the world. It is also the only one situated in Johor waters. Today, Pulau Kukup has received international recognition, being granted the status of a 'Wetland of International Importance' (RAMSAR site) by the Geneva- based Ramsar Convention Bureau.

It is protected as a national park under the Johor State Park Corporation Enactment 1989. Kukup Island or Pulau Kukup is one of the biggest inhabited mangrove sites in the world. There are various species of wildlife there in the national park. They are monkeys, wild boar, mud skipper and much more.

Usually tourists stay there overnight, relaxing, having seafood and visiting a nearby island “Kukup National Park”. If you have enough time, you can hop on any of the boats for hire, and visit the aquaculture farms where crabs and a variety of fishes are commercially bred. . Enjoy the beauty of the national park, and be immersed in a delightful natural ecosystem.
