The museum is located in the former residence of Sultan which was built in year 1866. It was known as the Grand Palace and Royal Sultan Abu Bakar Museum, the museum is actually located on the northen wings of the Grand Palace, or Istana Besar, of the sultan.

Housed within the museum are vast arrays of treasures, works of arts, antiquities, furniture and a huge picture gallery, which has pictures and portraits of past as well as present kings and queens.

Saturday to Thursday: 9am-5pm

RM 21 for adults
RM 9 for children
